FDS Team members attended the 7th US-PRC Magnetic Fusion Collaboration Workshop |

The 7th US-PRC Magnetic Fusion Collaboration Workshop (MFCW2014) was held in Nanjing China from Nov.10 to Nov.12. Prof. Yican Wu and other nine researchers from INEST•FDS team attended this workshop. US-PRC MFCW is supported by Ministry of Science and Technology of China and US Department of Energy, and held every two years in the United States and China alternatively. The topics of MFCW2014 involve device operation and experimental results, plasma and fusion technology, theory and simulation, fusion reactor and power plant design, diagnostics and new devices, International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) preparation. More than 80 experts, from China and the US, attended this workshop. Prof. Wu gave an invited presentation which caught a lot of attention. Other oral presentations from FDS team delivered new progress on the areas of fusion neutronics, safety, economic efficiency, fusion neutron source design and related collaboration with US. The attendance to the conference further promoted communication and collaboration on the field of fusion energy with related departments of US, strengthened the influence of INEST•FDS team in the world.
