With the joint efforts of cross-disciplinary talents and continuous investment of more than 700 person-years in Nuclear Energy Software Research Center, FDS team have developed more than 20 nuclear softwares, which have reached the international advanced level, some achieving the leading level in the world. These softwares are classified into three main categories, covering Simulation of Fundamental Physical Problem, Interactive Design & Optimization as well as Multi-process Integrated Comprehensive Simulation.

By the end of 2014, FDS nuclear softwares have been qualified by international organizations, andobtained wide applications all over the world, including more than 600 well-known international institutions in more than 80 countries. So far the accumulated number of end-user have been up to 1300 from International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor(ITER), Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), Oak ridge National laboratory (ONL), Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), Idaho National Laboratory (INL), French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI), Russian Research Centre Kurchatov Institute (RRCKI) and so on. The international large scale applications of FDS nuclear software further improve the influence of Chinese nuclear software and promote the exportation of Chinese nuclear energy.
