1.Brief Introduction
Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety Technology (INEST), is an institution dedicated to fundamental research of nuclear energy safety, as well as an independent nuclear safety assessment and evaluation center for promoting sustainable development of nuclear science and technology, based on the advanced nuclear energy research team-FDS Team, supported jointly by the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences and University of Science and Technology of China.
Supported by the Strategic Priority Research Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences “Accelerator Driven Systems (ADS) –Lead-Bismuth Cooled Experimental Reactor” and ITER related international and domestic projects “Fusion Nuclear Technology and Materials”, the main research areas of INEST•FDS cover Neutron Physics and Critical Safety, Nuclear Material and Component Safety Technology, Nuclear Thermal-hydraulics and Accident, Nuclear System Operation and Control Technology, Radiation Protection and Environmental Impact, Nuclear Software and Simulation, Reliability and Probabilistic Safety, Nuclear Technology and Application, Nuclear Energy Chemistry Safety, Nuclear Emergency and Nuclear Culture, etc.
