On March 9th, the initiative of building China Industry Innovation Alliance of Lead-based Reactor (CIIALER) was lunched in the industrial strategy symposium of lead-based reactor held in Hefei, Anhui Province.
CIIALER was led by Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety Technology (INEST), Chinese Academy of Sciences · FDS Team, consisted of representatives from over 100 enterprises, and supported by the leaders of several national authorities, such as National Energy Administration, National Nuclear Safety Administration, and province authorities , etc.
Lead-based reactor is one of the most promising nuclear energy systems for Accelerator Driven System (ADS) and Generation-IV reactors, and will make an important contribution for national economy and major national requirements, and can be widely applied in the Generation IV reactor, nuclear waste treatment system, fusion power plant, distributed power supply and so on. INEST has been engaged in the research of lead-based reactor over a long period, obtained a group of original scientific and technological achievements with international advanced level, and leading the R&D of Lead-based Reactor in China. CIIALER will establish a lead-based reactor industrial supply chain and promote the development of advanced nuclear energy in China to develop the innovative nuclear energy and solve the issues of energy and environment.
