High Intensity Neutron Source and Radiation Technology Laboratory

  

* Introduction 

  The high intensity neutron source and radiation technology laboratory aims at research on radiation safety and environmental influence. The research fields contain high intensity neutron source, neutron physics of advanced nuclear systems, nuclear detectors, radiation protection, nuclear chemistry safety and nuclear ecology safety, etc. The laboratory could also be used to extend the nuclear technology applications such as radiotherapy, radiography, oil exploration and so on. Up to now, the laboratory has more than 50 research facilities including the High Intensity D-T Fusion Neutron Generator HINEG, the Lead-based Zero Power Critical/Subcritical Reactor CLEAR-0, the Mobile Neutron Radiography System for Non-Destructive Testing KylinLight, and the Medical Electronic Linear Accelerator, etc. The laboratory has a total area of 15000m2 and fixed assets valued about 400 million RMB. In addition, there are the licenses of radiation safety and nuclear material in this laboratory.
